Terminal 2

The £1 billion home for Heathrow's 20 million Star Alliance passengers has moved a step closer, as BAA signed its largest ever construction contract with HETCo, a joint venture between Ferrovial Agroman and Laing O'Rourke.

Crown House Technology, a Laing O'Rourke subsidiary, is working on the Mechanical & Electrical elements of the project, and has chosen to use P1 mobile technology for tracking and quality checking the installation of off-site manufactured modules for the building structure.

Heathrow Terminal 5

After opening in 2008, London Heathrow Terminal 5 became the largest free-standing structure in the United Kingdom. Terminal 5 is used as a global hub exclusively by British Airways. The terminal is designed to handle 35 million passengers a year and cost £4 billion to build.

The BAA project team used Priority1 to manage the completion of the work by contractors. See here for a case study of the project.
