Our first project with Willmott Dixon has been the £26 million contract for the University of Wales, Newport City Centre Campus, another landmark on the banks of the River Usk in Newport.

After nine months successfully using P1+ with 2 devices for managing quality issues, the new building was handed over by the project team ahead of time and under budget.

Work is underway on a new £20m Cardiff School of Management at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff’s (UWIC) campus in Llandaff.
 
The building for teaching and research in Business, Hospitality, and Tourism, will provide facilities for 100 staff and 2,000 students over four floors. This is the second Willmott Dixon site to use Priority1+ as part of a business wide evaluation into the benefit of our mobile technology.

The East Manchester Academy is part of a wider programme across Manchester that will see seven new Academies open by September 2010, each one linked to future growth sectors of the city's economy, and each one linked also to other schools in the city. The East Manchester Academy is a publicly funded independent local school that is set up to provide first class free education.

This is our first non-hospital project with Balfour Beatty Construction’s Northern Region and the team will be using Priority1+ for task management.

BAM has won this BSF project to replace the current Cressex Community School. The new school will provide an 1,100-place secondary school with a Business and Enterprise specialist status. The building’s form is compact with three curriculum wings radiating from a central courtyard space. A fourth block accommodates the sports, assembly hall and main curriculum and social spaces.

The team knows Priority1 from a previous project (using Palm devices – things have moved on a bit since then!). They were keen to manage everything themselves and have been trained to set up and maintain the project as well as record snags.
